PAOLO ESPOSITO (born 1979 in Napoli) is an Italian painter living in London. His personal attitude and creativity helped him to absorb as much as possible from the surrounding environment, and take advantage of the extremely various artistic realities in the city. His style is developing constantly through communicative actions with the social environment, which, in turn, impact on his spirit and distinguishingly influence his creative-process.
"… sometime I manage to shape them within an organized and balanced scale. Sometime I refuse to do that, leaving the contrast prevailing over the form."
Paolo predominantly focuses on abstract painting, where colours are shaped within an organized and balanced scale. In his view colours are the essence, and by modulating, contrasting, laying and overlapping tonalities he is eventually able create fluid nuances imprinted of rational and emotional elements which absorb the observers' attention.
"Painting is the process of delivering to the audience the artist's statement as of what the reality is."
Maybe resembling a most famous echo, his abstract works need no guidelines or explanations as, in the author's view, it is proper to leave the observers' imagination unfettered and free from any given-nominative boundary. That's why "it is mostly for the viewer's mind and captivated imagination to describe and title an abstract work, why should I?"
His first collection Between Art & Beauty - realized by combining different techniques through an attentive blend of acrylics, pigments and oils on selected mediums - has been displayed in London and overseas, attracting many enthusiastic feedbacks in Europe and the Middle East.
